Here at American Haberdashery all of our hats are customized and personalized to a point. For this reason we cannot accept returns or exchanges. We will make right on a hat whatever you have an issue with if necessary in terms of workmanship or minor changes/adjustments.If you are between sizes we will choose the next size up to ensure a good fit. We send sizing strips to every customer with every hat order to size a hat down a bit if need be. There is no more than 3 quarters of an inch between our sizes but it helps you get a snugger fit if you feel you need it trued up in one area or another. What is much more difficult to deal with is a hat that is too small. For this reason it is imperative that when taking your measurements you adhere to the measurement guide and are certain you are ordering the correct size. You can find these instructions in the ordering and sizing page on the main menu. If a hat for some reason happens to be too snug to be comfortable we can relieve some of this if sent back to us but there are limitations to stretching a hat because it will deform the crown if stretched past it limits. We will make changes/adjustments to a hat 2 times. After the second time we will have to assume you did not want the product in the first place. We will pay the shipping for the return of an item once. Subsequent changes will be made for free however the shipping cost will have to be absorbed by the customer on the second round of changes. Not to worry, we will be speaking with you and communicating with you during the whole process to ensure you receive exactly what you want and making sure you get a proper fit and finish. A customer is NOT responsible in the unlikely event there is an issue with workmanship or unnatural defects. In these events we will correct any all issues and return the item to the customer at NO expense to them.
